West Bromwich Albion have confirmed that interim head coach James Morrison will lead the first team for the remainder of the campaign.

West Bromwich Albion officials have confirmed James Morrison will remain in charge of the first team until the conclusion of the current season. The former Albion midfielder stepped into the interim role following the departure of Carlos Corberan in February. The club chose to retain Morrison after a period of deliberation regarding a permanent appointment.

The Championship side currently occupies 22nd position in the league table, sitting inside the relegation zone. Morrison has overseen three matches since taking temporary charge, recording one win and two defeats. His backroom staff, including Gary Walsh and Michael Hefele, will continue in their respective roles to support the management transition, according to Sky Sports.

West Bromwich Albion representatives stated the decision provides stability for the squad during the final months of the league calendar. The team prepares for a crucial run of fixtures as they attempt to avoid relegation to League One. Morrison made over 300 appearances for the club as a player before joining the coaching staff, per The Guardian.
