Ligue 1 officials have postponed Paris St-Germain's match against Nantes to assist with Champions League preparations.

The Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) has approved a request from Paris St-Germain to postpone its domestic fixture against Nantes, according to L'Equipe. The match, originally scheduled for early March, has been moved to accommodate the French club's Champions League round of 16 tie against Chelsea.

This decision ensures PSG players receive five days of rest between the first and second legs of the European knockout encounter. The LFP stated the move aims to support French clubs competing in continental competitions, per Reuters.

Chelsea officials have not commented on the scheduling adjustment, which leaves the London club with a standard Premier League schedule during the same period. The first leg of the tie takes place at the Parc des Princes, with the return match following at Stamford Bridge.

PSG currently leads the French top flight, while Chelsea continues its campaign for a top-four finish in the Premier League. Revised dates for the Nantes fixture will be announced later this month, according to Ligue 1 officials.
