Tranmere Rovers have dismissed manager Andy Crosby after 10 months in the role following a series of poor results.

Tranmere Rovers sacked manager Andy Crosby on 4 March 2026. The club made the decision 10 months after appointing him on a permanent basis in May 2025. Crosby originally joined the League Two side as an assistant to Nigel Adkins before taking over the primary role, according to Sky Sports.

The Wirral-based club currently sits 21st in the League Two table, per the English Football League. Rovers have lost their last four matches, which left them three points clear of the relegation zone. The board of directors decided to act following a 3-0 home defeat on Tuesday evening.

First-team coach Ian Dawes will take temporary charge of the squad while the club begins the recruitment process for a permanent successor. Tranmere officials stated they felt a change was necessary to ensure the team retains its Football League status. Crosby previously managed Port Vale before his tenure at Prenton Park, according to The Guardian.
